We take a consultative approach to the financial planning process. The initial focus of the process is to uncover your goals and objectives. Those goals and objectives then become the basis for all recommendations made.
We typically begin by asking a number of questions, some of which you may have been asked before and other you may not have. Listed below are several questions that we feel are important to uncover your true motivations:
Do your Financial Planner, CPA, Mortgage Specialist, Insurance Planner, and Estate Planning Attorney communicate throughout the year with regard to your financial situation?
Do you have a written financial plan and are you funding the investments required to achieve the goals outlined in this plan?
Have you always wanted to invest in Real Estate but felt that a rental property was a larger commitment than you were comfortable with?
Were you aware that there are Real Estate investments such as public non-traded REITS and land that you can participate in with as little as $20,000 and/or use IRA money?
When making investment decisions in the past did your tax professional clarify the impact of those choices before you implemented them?
Does your tax advisor meet with you throughout the year to identify and implement strategies for minimizing your current and future tax liabilities? Or do they simply “react” to the decisions you made throughout the previous year?
If the unspeakable were to happen to you, do you have the estate planning and risk management tools in place to protect your family?
If you answered “no” to any or all of these questions, we can help.
